Terms and Conditions

Our Reservation and Cancellation Policies

At Andean Sunrise, our goal is to offer quality service with good value for money.

1. Travel prices

The prices vary according to the following factors:

• The number of people traveling in the same group.
• Whether shared or private transportation is chosen at the beginning and end of the route.
• If an individualized guide and cook service is hired.
• If a tailor-made tour is preferred, which requires more logistics for staff and camping equipment, donkeys, muleteers, and porters.
• If a complete package is chosen, including domestic flights, bus tickets, transfers, and hotel accommodation.

2. Disclaimer of Liability

1. Our company does not assume responsibility for trips canceled or delayed due to acts of vandalism, terrorism, disturbances, strikes, wars, political conflicts, weather conditions, natural disasters, mechanical failures, or any other irregularity caused by a third party, and/or any factors that entail additional expenses or itinerary changes.
2. Our company is not responsible for adverse situations that may occur to our clients during the expedition, such as: losses, accidents outside our control, damage, injuries, illnesses, pregnancy, physical or mental disabilities that may endanger the health or integrity of the client or third parties. Therefore, the Company will NOT acknowledge any claim or refund, either partial or total, for the mentioned reasons.
3. Our company does not assume expenses as a result of abandoning the hike and/or expedition early due to: medical problems, emergency rescue and/or evacuation, weather problems, bad weather, or medical treatment.

3. Reservation Conditions:

Our company does not assume total responsibility in case of trips canceled as a result of acts of vandalism, strikes, wars, government actions, weather conditions, or any other factors that entail additional expenses from delays, itinerary changes, or other causes. Andean Sunrise Travel is not responsible for adverse situations that may happen to our clients, such as: loss of personal belongings, illnesses, pregnancy, physical or mental disabilities that may endanger their health or integrity or that of third parties during the contracted tour. Therefore, the Company will NOT acknowledge expenses, claims, or any refund for the mentioned reasons. Andean Sunrise Travel does not assume expenses for itinerary changes due to medical, mechanical, or weather problems or bad weather before and/or during the tour.

4. Cancellation Conditions:

1. Full day Tours

   FREE cancellation up to 24 hours before the start of the tour; you can reschedule at no cost or request a refund.
   
   Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a 100% penalty. No refunds or rescheduling will be made, regardless of the reason.

2. Huaraz Tour Packages

   Cancellations made more than 7 days before the tour start date allow you to reschedule at no cost or request a refund. In this case, the refund will be subject to a 12% deduction for service fees and/or commissions, which will be deducted at the time of refund.
   
   Cancellations with less than 7 days’ notice will incur a 100% penalty. No refunds or rescheduling will be made, regardless of the reason.

3. Trekking and Mountaineering

   Cancellations made more than 20 days before the tour start date allow you to reschedule at no cost or request a refund. In this case, the refund will be subject to a 12% deduction for service fees and/or commissions, which will be deducted at the time of refund.
   
   Cancellations with less than 20 days’ notice will incur a 100% penalty. No refunds or rescheduling will be made, regardless of the reason.
