Lake 69 + Santa Cruz Trek (5 Days)

Day 1: Huaraz – Cebollapampa - Lake 69 In Cebollapampa we start with the hike which will take us 3h. until we reach lake 69 (4604 m.) After the visit we begin to descend to Yuraccoral which will take us approx. of 2 hours
» Hiking time: 5 to 6 hours approx.
» Campsite: Yuraccoral (3900 m)

Day 2: Yuraccoral - Vaqueria – Paria
This day we leave by transport crossing the Portachuelo pass (4760 m.) Later arriving at a dairy where the muleteer awaits us to transfer the equipment. from this point we start the hike to Paria.
» Hiking time: 4 to 5 hours approx.
» Campsite: Paria (3850 m)

Day 03: Paria – Punta Union Pass (4,750 m) - Taullipampa
This day we start very early since this day is the longest and most difficult day where we will have a unevenness of 900 m. to the Punta Union pass. From where we will have a view of the snow-capped mountains: Quitaraju, Taulliraju, Artesonraju, Huascarán, Contrahierbas, etc. further on we began to descend to the Taullipampa Campsite.
» Hiking time: 7 to 8 hours approx.
» Campsite: Taullipampa (4250 m).

Day 04: Taullipampa – Arhuaycocha - Llamacorral (3750m)
This day we will be able to appreciate the Alpamayo snow-capped southwest face (5970 m) later during the hike we will be able to appreciate the Ichicocha and Jatuncocha lagoons and the Caraz, Quitaraju, Artesonraju, Alpamayo snow-capped peaks.
» Hiking time: 7 to 8 hours approx.
» Campsite: Llamacorral (3750 m)

Day 05: Llamacorral – Cashapampa (2900 m) – Huaraz
This day the hike will be very easy descending to the end of the Santa Cruz valley and further on to the town of Cashapampa where our transport awaits us for the transfer to Huaraz.
» Hiking time: 4 to 5 hours approx.

Included:

• Transportation: From your hotel in Huaraz to the starting point of the trek, and from the end of the trek to your hotel in Huaraz.
• Camping equipment: Good quality mountain tents (2 people per tent), mattresses, dining tent, kitchen tent, dishes and kitchen utensils, tables and chairs.
• Food: Breakfast, lunch and dinner (option for vegetarians or vegans).
• Guide: Certified trekking guide (English or Spanish) another language by request.
• Cook: Trained cook to prepare varied and healthy dishes.
• Arriero: In charge of loading the donkeys and driving them.
• Donkeys: The number of donkeys depends on the size of the group. You can carry up to 6 kg of personal items that will be loaded onto the donkeys. During the day you will only carry your personal backpack.
• Emergency horse: 1 horse will accompany the group in case of emergency.
• First aid kit.

Not Included:

• Entrance fee to the Huascaran National Park (See Rates )
• Personal trekking equipment: sleeping bag (it is possible to rent in Huaraz), trekking shoes or boots, waterproof jacket and/or pants, poncho, backpack, flashlight, etc.
• Additional expenses: as a result of leaving the trek early, as a result of emergency rescue and/or evacuation, extra food or drinks in the villages, medical treatment.
• Breakfast the first day and dinner the last day.
