This mountain can be seen from any street in the city of Huaraz; They are famous for their two peaks, the northern one (the highest), and the southern one. Vallunaraju in the Quechua language means "Ice that can be cut" is one of the most beleaguered mountains in the Cordillera Blanca due to its quick access and proximity to the city of Huaraz.
